In two monhs, activists of the association of citizens of yokogama managed to collect signatures for a referendum on a casino.

The initiative was carried out on the appeal of the mayor fumico hayashi, who requested the civil group of association of yokohama citizens to solve the pros and cons of attracting integrated resort facilities (ir) to the city, including casino.

The number of signatures established by law is 62,000 urban voters, but it was collected 156 445.  To conduct a referendum to the city council, it is necessary to adopt a draft resolution, which will be present to the mayor.

According to members of the civil association, it im impossible to ignore such an attitude of the public.
