On friday, august 23, the cyprus police of paphos eliminated the activities of two objects suspected of conducting illegal gambling.

It was found that in the institutions located in paphos, 20 computers were converted into slot machines.

According to the local publication, the first raid took place on friday night. Pafos police found 10 computer rooms that worked as illegal classical slot machines, and the owner of the object was interrogated with cid.

On the same evening, representatives of law enforcement agencies held another raid for the second institution. The authorities confiscated another 10 computers used for gambling, as well as an amount of €815 cash and camera to observe the activities at the facility.

Since july of this year, cyprus has no longer shown advertising of gambling in a certiain time interval. This should reduce the popularity of the segment in the media. Local regulatory department announced new restrictions to promote gembling-segment. According to the the regulations, advertising will not be broadcast on republican television and radio stations from 6:00 to 23:00.

In addition, such content should not be focused on facial under 21 years. Indition to this, advertising can not be located closer than 300 meters from schools. It should also contain a warning of risks that carry gambling.
