Dutch Gambling Regulator Reveals Operators Who Have Not Paid Fines

Dutch gambling regulator kansspelautoriteit (ksa) threatens to publish information about operators who shy away from paying fines. According to representatives of the department, this will allow users to identify illegal websites.

The gambling regulator has the right to impose fines for violating the law on gambling. Including act in relation to operators who work in the dutch market without a license.

If the operator does not pay the penalty, ksa launches the recovery procedure. The regulator also publishes all topical information about the process on its website. Representatives of the gambling regulator believe that the rejection of the payment of the unreliability of the operator.

In january 2021, online gambling market should be launched in the netherlands. The decision was approved by the senate of the country in february. New laws can ento force on july 1 of next year, subject to final approval by the ministry of justice and safety. Then need to develop licensed conditions for the market.

The control body has already announced that licenses will be provided only to those operators who were not part of the illegal market of the country within the entry into force of legislation.
