Dutch Regulator Offers New Player Protection Rules
The kansspelautoriteit (ksa) regulatory authority (ksa) began discussion on the new rules for the country of players, according to which the country’s operators should conduct an independent risk analysis in all games.
They must clearly define the risk factors based on scientfic analysis. This include the game as the size of jackpots, the percentage of players return, volatility, visual design and availability level.
The rules also include a ban on any kind of limited bonuses, such as "happy watchs" or bonuses declared valid only within one day. The prohibition is aimed at a decrease in impulsive game.
New measures also include new rules for marketing messages, based on which advertising shold not "offer financial benefits or declare increasing public recognition and gaining happiness" as a result of gambling.
