Hooyu Approved As A System For Checking The Age Of The Protection Of Youth
German commission for the protection of youth (kommission für jugendmedienschutz – kjm) approved hooyu as a suitable online checking system.
Kjm offers providers to legal verification of concepts and systems for compliance with the technical requiements of a satisfactory age check, which will allow to check and identify identity documents using an automated process including biometric data comparison.
According to the state treaty on the protection of youth media (jugendmedienschutz-staatsvertrag – jmstv), content, harmful to minors, can distribute media only if technical measures are used, guaranteeing the restricted access to the content.
The approved hooyu process will offer content providers, such as online gambling operators, a set of user interface tools. Then hooyu performs the process of checking a document certifying personality by comparing biometric person data on selfie and person in the identity card.
Given the statement in july 2021 (glücksspiel regulierung staatsvertrag – glüneurstv), gaming operators now appeal to the service check service providers whe received kjm approval.
David pop, hooyu marketing director, commented:
"Since game operators accept new german regulatory regime, they are looking for age check systems approved by kjm. At the same time, the operators want the customer registration process to allow users to easily and conveniently undergo the process of checking age. The digital path of kyc from hooyu solves both sides of the equation – what is looking for a regulator, and trouble-free registration experience, which operators will be able to provide their users.
