In Kenya, The Want To Ban Advertising Sports Rates
Parliament kenya intends to ban advertising bookmakers. Considers amendments are made to the gambling law of the country. According to them, bookmakers will be banned to advertise sports rates through all media channels.
The bill will prohibit the broadcast of any betting advertising on the results of events, the outcome of which is not defined. In this case, bookmakers running in kenya – sportpesa, betin, betway, mcheza – will not be able to conduct marketing campaigns to promote their products.
In addition, the regulatory and licensing authority will be created – kenya betting control and licensing authority. The agency will establish strict control over the tax policies of the industry, the financial activities of operators, regulation and contribution of companies in the government of kenya.
The gambling committee will establish penalties in the amount of $ 9.7 million to $ 38.8 million, which will be applied to the organizers of sports rates in case of detection of illegal activities.
