Irish Lawmakers Will Revise The Rules For Regulating Gambling
The irish legislative body of the field of gambling can be accelerated this year. For sevel weeks, two separate bills will be published.
Currently, the ministers are developing amendments for the 2013 gambling bill, as well as for the bill of gambling and lotteries, which will update the provisions operating since 1956. For several weeks, it is expected to have further development of events.
Interdepartmental working group on gambling chaired by david stanton, a representative off a liberal-conservative party «fine gel», represents the government of proposals for the updated bill on overseas games in the coming weeks. The document will be invited to create a new independent regulator. This question has already been discussed at the beginning of last year.
The bill of gambling and lotteries, which must also be filed for consideration in the coming weeks, is designed to provide more efficient promotion of regional lotteries, streamline the process of filing applications for permits and licenses, as well as increase monetary restrictions on bets and prizes for slot machines licensed in certain areas of local self-government.
«The goal is to achieve a comprehensive reform regarding laws establishing the procedure for licensing and regulating all legal gambling activities», – commented on the representative of the ministry of justice.
Ireland’s ministry of finance currently assesses the impact of the introduction of a new tax on gambling: from january 1, 2019, the rate was double to 2% of the company’s income.
