Lottery Operators Should Be More Stringent Requirements – Galina Vergimakh

The head of the department of administrative and general services of the markets of the production and investigation of the antimonopoly committee of ukraine (amcu) present a brief conclusion on the results of the analysis of the draft law no. 2285 about igor business.

According to the amcu, the draft law on gambling, filed by the cabinet of ministers of ukraine, needs significant refinement. Indition toechnical moments, galina vershimakh allocated that the predetermined presence of a single lottery operator will lead to the monopolization of this sector of the gaming market.

Also, the official drew attention to the lack of delimitation of concepts for gaming equipment, which will be used for lotteries and other types of gambling.

«In our opinion, this is a question of more stringent requirements and criteria to the operator of lotteries relative to other igor market operators», – commented on vergimakh comments by amcu. Special attention precisely for the lottery, she argued that now in ukraine under her illegal gembling is masked. And since the lottery is the least malicious option for gambling, it is worth protecting citizens from this application.

Amcu plans to analyze other, alternative bills and provide their comments and suggestions for certain norms of law.
