New Rules Countering Contractual Matches In Sweden
September 14, 2020 the swedish game council decided on the rules and general recommendations to counter contractual matches. These rules compleden the provisions contained in the law on the game and in the rules of the game.
The regulation will limit the allowed supply offer by prohibiting and restricting rates in relation to ::
- Violation of the rules during matches, competitions and tournaments (for example, removal, penalty and yellow cards).
- Individual achievements of players who have undergone 18 years of age.
- Football in addition to the four senior divisions in sweden or abroad, matches in the sweden cup and training matches, except national teams (u21 and higher).
Rules apply only to those sports that are practiced in sweden.
Taking into account these prohibitions and restrictions, the igor commission of sweden believees that there will be no reason to influence the outcome of the games in the affected areas.
Football is a high risk sport when it comes to contractual matches, and there a secial risks with low divisions. Lighting worse, and athletes do not earn money on their sports activities. Theraefore, the game inspectorate decided to make a special focus on football and thus, took into account the comments received from the policy makers.
"This is another step in the process of minimizing the risks of the contractual matches and the threats of the integrity of the sport, which is the contractual matcheson," says niklas hyjerothson, head of the inspectorate of sweden games.
