Russian Deporties Support Children’S Protection Initiative From Internet Threats

Representatives of the russian political party «united russia» alexander tetherdinko proposed to the deporties to support non-profit socially-oriented organizations, the purpose of which – protection of children and adolescents from threats online.

These organizations will search for resources that may be a threat to juvenile citizens, and then report this to the relevant competent authorities. Activities will pay special attention to the resources, promoting illegal gambling, the sale of drugs, aggressive subcultures, suicidal behavior.

Tetherdinko explained that sometimes the internet serves not only in good, but in harm. He explained that he did not consider the right full ban or the use of firewall, however, to protect the vulnerable social strata of society, in his opinion, it is necessary.

Recall: on december 11, as part of a meeting of the federation council, a ban on receiving rates for children’s and youth sports was approved.
