United kingdom gambling commission (ukgc) works with the twitch boot platform to prevent the placement of unlicensed sites on the platform.

Commission on games uk began negotiations with twitch after eurogamer investigation showed that two sites on which the streamers played were not licensed. Currently, the promotion of non-license resources on streaming sites is prohibited.

Commission asked eurogamer hide the names of two sites in order not to advertise these resources.

«We are not talking about individual cases, but i can explain our approach in general to unlicensed sites. When we draw attention to illegal resources dedicated to gambling, we are making a number of commensurate consumer protection measures in the uk», – ukgc spokes.

The representative of the regulatory authority added that the commission will first figure out whether the site is really used by british users, and then cooperates with the site owners and will ultimately establish close cooperation with advertising suppliers and payments to block cash transactions.

«We are currently working with twitch to prevent the placement of unlicensed sites on their platform», – survised the head of the commission on gambling.

Earlier ukgc fined gambling companies daub alderney, casumo, videoslots and cz holdings for violations.
